Whilst studying Film and Media at University, I volunteered as a radio producer for Bedfordshire Hospital. I loved visiting the patients and nurses there, asking them for any song requests, and hearing where their memories of their particular song choice came from. I scribbled their stories down on paper and produced a collection of these cherished memories that I used in my book, which later won an Internatinal Writing Award; and soon after I became a published author.
I have honed my writing into competitive specialisms such as film distribution, music promotion and producing. I now eagerly accept invitations to cover some of the capital’s most talked about Award Ceremonies, Premieres, PR events and all things cultural. In 2024 I finished the UK side of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, produced film for Condé Nast (Vogue and Vanity Fair). Present day, I attend and write about Netflix, Warner Entertainment and BFI film premieres in the Captial and proudly contrubute to Seen In The City.
My writing has led to some wonderful experiences, and meetings with some inspirational film directors, producers and creative teams: shining a light on less known organisations; and networking with like-minded individuals who share a similar passion in bringing awareness. Being nominated to be a Judge for the Diana Awards to help recognise young individuals who are using their talents to make this world a better place, has been a special highlight in my publishing journey.
Writing is very much a part of my identity, and I like to use it to help encourage others. It's a powerful tool; it obliges me to become a student of human nature and allows me to make sense of life. Being able to share in this and use it to help others makes me feel incredibly humble.
